The Stats+Stories 300th Episode Data Visualization Contest (FINISHED)

In the latest episode of Stats+Stories, we put out a call for YOU the Stats + Stories audience to participate in our 300th episode. We have put out a data set containing various information on over 280 episodes of Stats+Stories recorded over the past decade, which we want you to use to create visualizations and tell a story with our data!

You can view the full document (via Google Docs) by clicking on the image to the right, as well as download the data as an Excel file or view the Key and Data as separate CSV files.

Submit your vote for your favorite visualization below. Each entry is interactable so please test out each visualization to see everything our amazing listeners were able to come up with for our contest. Click the finalist you’d like to view and an interactable link opens in a new tab.

The winner will be selected and contacted the day after the fan voting has concluded on August 31st at 11:59 PM EST. The winner will be featured on the 300th episode of Stats+Stories and will receive a copy of John and Rosemary’s new book “Statistics Behind the Headlines”, as well as some Stats+Stories swag.
